Mbarak 3alaikum ilShahar

So much is going on in the world, yet there is so much that one has to focus on in order to keep his/her own life on track.

Starting with what’s going on in the world:

If the person who killed 90+ people in Norway was a Muslim, the press would have declared him a terrorist. For now though, he is just an “assailant,” “attacker” (Reuters), “gunman” (BBC, CNN & Al Jazeera). Looks like “terrorist” is a name reserved for Muslims. The US Dept of State calls it an “Act of Violence,” not an “Act of Terrorism.” Share this status and let the world know, HYPOCRISY is leading us astray…

Yes, the truth is unfortunately sad and pathetic at times.

I know that by saying this I’m risking my anonymity and all, but I don’t think I care about that too much anymore. So, my business was featured in an newspaper article recently. I feel proud that I’m a young woman (emphasis on young) who has went for it and achieved quite a bit. Some people tell me that I’m missing out on life and what not, but I’m not. I have fun everyday. I enjoy my life. I don’t regret any of the steps I’ve taken. My life is pretty much planned out, and I do have my goals set. However, that really does not mean that I cannot have any fun.

Now for the freak out:

I still haven’t packed.

I’m still in the process of finalizing accommodation on campus.

I’m still in the process of registering Baby Noor in the nursery on campus.

I still have five out of six books for pre-course reading material that I need to finish reading before September.

We also have to book tickets.

Basically, it’s a crazy mess.

Other than all of the above, what’s everyone’s plan for Ramadan?

My plan is to see as many of my family, friends, and the people I love throughout the month because I’m leaving and probably won’t see them for a year, if not more.

Norwegian Terrorist: No matter what anyone says, he’s a terrorist. He caused terror, he’s an @##hole extremist who has murdered many innocent people. He’s a terrorist.

The Business: Uhm… How does one enjoy life if there aren’t any achievements in it? Being successful = A reason for celebrating = fun.
So yea, you’re doing it right lol

Freaking out: DO NO FREAK OUT. Everything will happen and in time, don’t worry! Just relax, and get things done step by step and it’ll all be great.
    Allah ewafgech enshallah :*

I know, but you know how people are. *Sigh*

    That’s the plan! Calming down!

Blekh! They are super quick to criticize and judge. It’s sad. They should be more concerned with their own lives.
